現地法人コーディネーター、佐野道准氏の報告より：今回実施した第22回奉仕隊の特徴は、３か国の混成(日本10名、パラグアイ６名、アメリカ３名)となったことです。国際色豊かで、文総裁夫妻の人類一家族の理念を多少なりとも実現できたように思います。青年たちは国籍、言語の違いを越えて、兄弟として一つになろうとする心情が随所に表れていました。毎朝の訓読会で文先生の自叙伝を読みました。私たちは、世界中の貧困者たちの事情を共にできる者でなければグローバルリーダーになれないという箇所を読んでいたので、隊員たちには何とかして彼らと同じ事情圏を分かち合いたいとの願いがあふれていました。

先発5隊員が到着 With a big cake and guitar-accompanied songs, Leda welcomes the first five Paraguayan members' arrival prior to that of the main body of the Service volunteer team. 先発したパラグアイ女性隊員5名の到着を、ケーキと歌とギターで歓迎しました。（8月30日） |

全員そろって初めての夕食 Now, all the members have arrived at Leda. They share a good time during the first dinner at the long table in the Dining Hall. 第22回青年奉仕隊員が全員レダにそろいました。とても長い食卓を挟んで、楽しく歓談します。（8月31日） |

食品加工工房を訪問 During a mini tour of Leda Project sites, the volunteers visit Mr. Kobashi's fish processing kitchen "Taller" and try kamaboko and other fish products. 次の日、レダの各プロジェクト現場を駆け足で見学しました。パクーの魚肉の加工を担当している小橋氏の工房では、かまぼこをはじめ、いろいろな魚肉製品の試食をしました。（9月1日） |

ニュー・ホープ・アメリカ号は120馬力。 New Hope America, donated by our supporters in the U.S.A., comes to Puerto Leda for the first time, for the 22nd International Youth Service. The boat has two outboard engines of 60 HP each. 在米の支援者からレダに贈られた「ニュー・ホープ・アメリカ」号は、2基の60馬力船外機でパラグアイ川を行き来します。 |

操縦士のピーターパウロさん Pilot Peter-Paulo steers the New Hope America. He used to drive Rev. Moon's fishing boat in the Pantanal. ニュー・ホープ・アメリカ号の操縦士は、文先生のボートの運転を担当していた、ピーターパウロさん。夫人とともに、この船の運航と管理をしています。（9月1日） |

養殖パクーを掬って別の池へ In Leda Farm, they transfer young pacú grown up to a certain range of size into another farming pond for the senior class. Our volunteers help encircle and corner the fish with a very wide net. 養殖池のパクーは、その成長の度合いに応じて、「年長」の魚の池に移動させます。その時は、池幅いっぱいの網でパクーを追い込み、タモで掬い上げて選別します。この日の作業には、奉仕隊員も体験参加しました。（9月2日） |

ブタランドを訪問 Pigland, every visitor's favorite place. You can feed pigs and hold piglets in your arms. レダ訪問者たちに大人気のブタランド。その目玉は、餌やりと子豚の抱っこです。（9月3日） |

マンディオカの挿し木を体験 Mandioca is multiplied by planting a cutting. The volunteers experience making a small mound of soil, laying a couple of prepared cutting in its center, gently covering them with soil, and watering properly. マンディオカ（ポルトガル語ではマンジョーカ）は、挿し木で殖やします。よく砕いた土でマウンドを作り、その中心に挿し穂を埋めるという作業を、経験者に教えてもらいながら体験しました。（9月3日） |

エスペランサ村に出発 Now, our volunteers are on bord the New Hope America, departing for Puerto Esperanza, the indigenous community they are to work for. ニュー・ホープ・アメリカ号に乗って、いよいよレダ基地から奉仕活動の地であるエスペランサ村に向かいます。（9月4日） |

ニュー・ホープ・アメリカ号 New Hope America leaves Puerto Leda. You may enjoy stability during voyage rather than speed. 今年、奉仕隊員の輸送のためにパンタナールデビューを果たしました。あまり高速では走れませんが、安定感のある船です。（9月4日） | |

エスペランサで迎える最初の朝 The first sunrise for our volunteers in Esperanza. It comes with many singing voices of early birds. Everybody seems to have slept well. 鳥たちの歌がにぎやかな朝。奉仕隊員たちは、みんなよく眠れたようです。これからトイレと洗面ですね。（9月5日） | |

子供たちに歌を歌ってあげる In the "Opening Session" our volunteers sing songs for the schoolchildren; and so do they in return. オープニングセッションで、奉仕隊員たちと生徒たちとが互いに歌を披露しました。2004年の奉仕隊が歌って教えた「♪さいた、さいた（チューリップの花が）」は多くの村人がまだ憶えています。（9月5日） | |

青年奉仕隊員の自己紹介 Self-introduction in Spanish, Japanese or English. Teachers translate it into Chamacoco via Spanish. Schoolchildren look very much interested, gaze at and listens to every volunteer. 奉仕隊員が 一人ずつ、スペイン語、日本語、英語のいずれかで自己紹介していきます。すると先生たちが、チャマココ語で子供たちに伝えます。子どもたちの関心は高く、青年たちの顔をよく見て、話を聴いていました。（9月5日） | |

ボールを贈呈 A football and a volleyball handed to the school headteacher (left) as presents to the school. サッカーボールとバレーボールとを学校にプレゼント。校長先生に手渡しました。（9月5日） | |

子供たちがダンスを披露 Schoolchildren dance for our volunteers a Chamacoco traditional dance and a Paraguayan Latin dance. The young volunteers, especially those from Japan, begin to taste real exoticness. チャマココの民俗ダンスと、パラグアイのラテン風ダンスとを見せてくれました。特に日本から来た隊員たちには、異文化世界に来たこと感じさせるものでした。（9月5日） | |

校舎を再塗装 The volunteers repaint the school building, which we built and donated in 2004. 2004年に私たちが建造・贈呈した校舎です。教師と生徒、父母たちが大切に守ってきてくれたので、大きな損傷はありません。（9月5日） | |

川で洗顔 Our volunteers wash their hands and faces with the water of the Paraguay. The water is comfortably cool and refreshing especially in early morning. 毎日、パラグアイ川のほとりで顔を洗いました。特に朝の川水は冷たくて、気持ちよかったそうです。（9月6日） | |

学校食堂に壁画 Beside the repainting team, a wall painting team is formed for the school canteen. 学校の食堂に壁画を描くチームです。歴代の青年奉仕隊が、それぞれの活動地の学校食堂に描き、喜ばれてきた実績があります。（9月6日） | |

壁画を描く隊員 Making a wall painting may look a nice job, but it's not necessarily an easy job. You may look at the painters up close to see their tremendous concentration. 壁画を描くのは一見楽しそうですが、決して容易ではありません。腕に覚えのある隊員が、ものすごい集中力で描いていきました。（9月6日） | |

古タイヤで作った鳥に色を塗る Scrap tire art. Brother Victor, once assistant of late Date, is good at making lovely objects from scrap tire. The volunteers paint them in brilliant colors. ビクトルさんの特技で、古タイヤをいろいろな造形作品に生まれ変わらせました。ビクトルさんは、以前に伊達先生の下、植樹園で働いていた方です。（9月6日） | |

タイヤをパラグアイカラーに塗装 For the playground, we set wooden equipment (photo background), safer and more durable than metal equipment. Painted and planted in the ground, scrap tires are born anew for children to play with. 児童公園には、堅牢で安全な木製の遊具を設置しました。古タイヤも塗装によって、遊具として生まれ変わります。（9月6日） | |

子供たちに折り紙を教える Origami lesson. Among other acts of exchange are sports, playing, singing, dancing, rope jumping, etc. 奉仕隊員と子供たちとの交流の時間を大切にします。定番は、スポーツ、遊び、歌、ダンス、縄跳び、折り紙など。（9月6日） | |

校舎の再塗装が完了 Repainting is completed; the school building looks almost brand-new. 再塗装したことで、新校舎のような美しい外観を取り戻しました。（9月7日） | |

お別れ前のツーショット Farewell time. It is also the beginning of a long-lasting partnership as we are true neighbors. 別れはいつも寂しいもの。でも、エスペランサはレダの隣り村。これから続く、長い付き合いの始まりだと思いましょう。（9月7日） | |

仲良くなった子供たちと Newly found little sisters and brothers. Let's hope that our volunteers' activities there remain in the memories of those children and inspire their desire for learning. 新しい妹や弟がたくさんできました。子どもたちの向学心に小さな火を点けられたのではないかと思います。（9月7日） | |

エスペランサ開村記念式典で The last day of the volunteer service in Esperanza coincides with the Day of Opening of the Community of Puerto Esperanza. The Youth Service Team takes part in the celebration parade, ending up a very special day for the community. 最終日は、ちょうどエスペランサ村の開村記念日でした。奉仕隊も祝典のパレードに参加し、笑顔で威風堂々と行進。村にとっても、特別な記念日になりました。（9月7日） | |

乗馬体験 Horse-riding experience. On the following day of returning to Leda, they visit Puerto Canaan to look on the grazing cattle. Then, they experience horse-riding, not so easy for beginners. レダに戻った翌日、カナン牧場で牛の放牧を見学。その後、全隊員が乗馬を体験しました。初心者には少々難しいのですが、全員なんとか乗って歩くことができました。（9月8日） | |

釣り体験 Fishing experience. She catches piraña. Other members catch boga, mandi, etc. ピラニアをゲットした女性隊員。この日の主な釣果は、ピラニアとボガでした。（9月8日） | |
報告祭Closing session. Mr. Iwasawa gives a letter of thanks to every volunteer. 奉仕活動の感想を発表した報告祭。その後、岩澤所長から受けた感謝状を手に記念撮影。（9月9日） |
